AWDA presented the 2006 Art Fisher Memorial Scholarship Award to KYB America for its ongoing commitment to training and education designed to keep professional installers, as well as counter sales personnel, up-to-date with changing vehicle technology.
"Two years ago, KYB introduced a new program called ‘Get to the Tech,’ that not only re-defined the role of their sales forces, but was designed to motivate and help our industry create solutions to solve the problem of underperformed services," said Mike Schultz, co-president, Federated Auto Parts, in presenting the award.
The Art Fisher Memorial Scholarship Award is presented annually to an aftermarket company or individual that demonstrates outstanding commitment to education and training, either within their own company or throughout the industry. Given in memory of former AWDA chairman Art Fisher, the award grants substantial scholarships in the name of the award winner to two students enrolled in the automotive aftermarket management program at Northwood University.
