Jim Griffith, AutoZone Senior Vice President Of Stores, Announces His Retirement

Griffith joined AutoZone in 1987. He spent seven years leading the store development team and, since 2015, Griffith has successfully led store operations team as the senior vice president.

AutoZone Inc. has announced that Jim Griffith, senior vice president, store operations, customer satisfaction, plans to retire from AutoZone early next year.

Griffith joined AutoZone in 1987 as a part-time employee and has held several positions in store operations, including store manager, district manager, regional manager and vice president of stores. Griffith spent seven years leading the store development team and, since 2015, Griffith has successfully led store operations team as the senior vice president.

“I would like to thank Jim for his many contributions to our organization over the past 30 years,” said Bill Rhodes, chairman, president and CEO. “While we will certainly miss Jim and his contributions, he has developed strong leaders who are prepared to lead this organization to continued success well into the future. We wish Jim and his wife, Becky, all the best in retirement and their future endeavors.”
