DECATUR, Ala. ITW Sexton recently obtained ISO 9001:2008 certification for the aerosol containers it manufactures in its Decatur, Ala., facility, the company said.
This is the first time that ITW Sexton’s aerosol can fabrication process has received ISO certification. (Certificate No. CERT-0061887) The company’s deep drawn filter and capacitor operations in Martinsburg, W.Va., have received ISO-certification previously. ITW Sexton’s high-pressure aerosol cans are used for a variety of products, including vehicle care, winter chemicals, and adhesives and sealants, as well as for other industrial and consumer applications.
"ISO certification of our deep drawn aerosol container manufacturing process is a tribute to the hard work of the men and women in our Decatur facility," says Yurij Wowczuk, ITW Sexton’s general manager. "Their commitment to excellence enabled us to meet ISO requirements. As an ISO-certified company, we are positioned better than ever to take advantage of new business opportunities domestically and overseas."
The company’s ISO 9001:2008 certificate (CERT-0061887) is for the company’s production of aerosol cans, DOT special permitted aerosol cans and deep drawn stampings for automotive and other engineered products.
