SOUTHFIELD, Mich. The monthly #ChampionChat social media program will offer a new and interesting twist tomorrow as DeLana Harvick, wife and business partner of NASCAR Sprint Cup driver Kevin Harvick, takes the driver’s seat for an hour-long online conversation with racing fans and consumers.
Sponsored by Federal-Mogul’s Champion brand of spark plugs, wiper blades and chemical additives, Tuesday’s #ChampionChat session will begin at 7 p.m. ET on Twitter and TweetChat.com and then move to the VYou.com video site at 7:30 ET.
The #ChampionChat series is part of a unique grassroots marketing program created by Federal-Mogul, which aims to connect the millions of racing fans and consumers with one of the automotive industry’s most popular brands. The online chat sessions have generated millions of brand impressions, thousands of tweets and more than 41,000 video views since its inception, the company says.
To participate, consumers can log on to TweetChat.com or Federal-Mogul’s @ChampionParts Twitter feed and add the #ChampionChat hashtag to the end of their tweets.
DeLana Harvick is one of the most visible and influential women in NASCAR, both as co-owner of Kevin Harvick Inc. and ardent supporter of her husband, the driver of the No. 29 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet Impala. She is the daughter of former NASCAR driver John Linville. Mrs. Harvick also recently became a mother for the first time, having given birth to son Keelan Harvick on July 8.
“DeLana is a very smart, successful and engaging person with a large following as a result of her many activities as a business owner and member of the racing world. We think she’ll bring an interesting and enjoyable new perspective to our ChampionChat community,” said Jessica Wynn, brand strategy manager for Federal-Mogul. “The subjects can cover everything from her experiences on pit road to the ways she balances motherhood with her career in motorsports.”
