Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week organizers have announced a new education session format, titled “Aftermarket Briefings,” planned for Wednesday, Jan. 25 during HDAW.
Modeled on the “Ted Talk” segments held during many conferences and events, Aftermarket Briefings will bring targeted and experienced speakers from three technology-related solutions companies to discuss the possibilities of incorporating different levels of technology into distributor businesses.
Each speaker will have 15 minutes to discuss how their technology influences the markets they serve and how it relates to independent aftermarket distributors’ businesses. Attendees will be able to ask the presenters questions via text messaging toward the end of the afternoon session.
The speakers and companies participating in the Aftermarket Briefings are:
- David Seewack, CEO of FinditParts – a leading online distributor of heavy-duty truck parts, trailer parts and tractor parts
- Dana Nevins, founder/CEO of Web Shop Manager – an eCommerce provider for the automotive industry and other markets with complex product catalogs
- Shriram Rajagopal, vice president, product management of e-Emphasys Technologies, Inc – a global enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider for the heavy equipment and rental industries
“Technology and how to best use it effectively in the independent aftermarket to improve business is a topic that weighs heavily on the minds of my peers daily,” said Don Purcell, partner of Stone Truck Parts and co-chair of HDAW 2017. “Bringing in these three individuals developing innovations for their markets using technology to speak to us about the potential it all could bring to distributors business will provide fresh viewpoints to HDAW.”
The 12th annual Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week will be held on Jan. 23-26, 2017, at The Mirage in Las Vegas. Visit hdaw.org for a schedule of events, education programs and registration information.
