GRANDVILLE, Mich. – To manage and drive further growth in its aftermarket business segment, Hadley is expanding its national presence with the addition of Jim Clark as national fleet and dealer manager. Reporting to Clark is Jim Zwald as regional fleet and dealer manager.
Hadley is a supplier of quality components and solutions for the Class 5-8 truck and tractor, trailer, transit and shuttle bus, RV, motor coach, specialty vehicle markets and associated aftermarket distribution.
Clark and Zwald will develop and manage customer engagement through Hadley’s national network of direct sales and rep agencies. Both have a wealth of experience: a combined total of more than 60 years in the heavy-duty commercial vehicle market including fleet, OEM and aftermarket.
Clark is a former Hadley employee and brings valuable fleet account experience, most recently from Webasto where he was the national fleet sales manager. At Webasto, he had responsibility for all northern states and Canada and was instrumental in growing the bunk and engine heater business utilizing pull through efforts at the fleet level.
Zwald joins Hadley after more that 30 years at Goodyear Engineered Products (Veyance Technologies). Veyance was recently acquired by Continental (ContiTech). Zwald was senior product manager and led the partnership between Hadley and Veyance for the integration of Hadley’s SmartValve with an air spring using an internal height sensor. This technology is currently being evaluated by Navistar and Ridewell.
Because of the success of the award-winning SmartValve, fleets and dealers are expressing significant interest in Hadley’s expanding line of electronic height-control technologies. Since its introduction in 2013, more than 50 fleets have purchased and installed the SmartValve on their vehicles, according to Hadley. In addition, 43 percent of the units sold by Hadley have been to returning customers.
