GRI Gives Back To The Environment At Factory Launch

The company says it had to uproot several trees in order to build the new state-of-the-art factory and, as a form of recompense to nature, GRI decided to plant as many trees as it had to remove for the building.

As part of the grand opening of its world-class specialty tire manufacturing facility in Sri Lanka, GRI gave back to the environment by planting more than 50 trees on the new factory premises in an effort with its distinguished guests.

GRI says it is truly passionate about giving the future generations a chance to sustain the beauty this world has to offer. GRI’s new factory is situated on 10 acres of industrial land adjacent to its current solid tire factory. The company says it had to uproot several trees in order to build the new state-of-the-art factory and, as a form of recompense to nature, GRI decided to plant as many trees as it had to remove for the building.

Customers of GRI said that it was a meaningful gesture for the company to plant the trees, in the effort to keep a sustainable industry, as well as being a “token of the collaboration between GRI and its stakeholders for the future of the company.”

Another customer shared that planting a tree was a strong symbol of good faith and hope in their culture, and added, “I am blessed and honored to be part of this conscious and symbolic contribution. In the future, I will certainly return to GRI’s factory in Sri Lanka and when that happens I will visit my tree and see how it has grown too.”
