After its fourth quarter board of directors meeting, GenNext has voted and approved the election of five new directors and one new senior adviser.
GenNext is a non-profit organization that was formed in 2014 as the need for capable employees to help fill open positions in the heavy-duty aftermarket industry continues to rise. With more than 200 members across North America, GenNext has created a program to educate, mentor and recruit the next generation of heavy-duty aftermarket leaders. The group is comprised of up-and-coming leaders in the aftermarket truck parts industry. The group is intended for members age 45 and under however, any age level is welcome to join, the group says.
In an effort to keep representation equal and receive valuable input and feedback between the GenNext members and the board, GenNext has both suppliers and distributors serve on the board with a two-year alternating rotation.
The new directors are:
- Dan Humphrey, Timken
- Justine Scriptunas, Meritor
- Adam Diecks, Point Spring & Driveshaft
- Jeff Paul, VIPAR Heavy Duty
- Justin Miller, HDT
The new senior adviser is:
- Dave Willis – CRW Parts
In addition, Ian Johnston from Harman Heavy Vehicle will move from vice president to president, while Nick Seidel will move from secretary to vice president.
“GenNext had an incredibly successful year in 2015 with a very dedicated and supportive industry. We’re really looking forward to 2016 and certainly appreciate the board members giving us their valuable time to help support this effort,” said Steve Hansen, outgoing president of GenNext.
