Freudenberg-NOK Named Rear Axle Supplier Of The Year By Meritor

The company was cited by executives as the "real seal deal" at an award ceremony that took place on Nov. 12 at Meritor's headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

FNST-logoFreudenberg-NOK Sealing Technologies has been named the Rear Axle Supplier of the Year by Meritor Inc. The company was cited by executives as the “real seal deal” at an award ceremony that took place on Nov. 12 at Meritor’s headquarters in Troy, Michigan.

Freudenberg-NOK’s pinion seals, as well as other seals, are used by Meritor in its commercial vehicle business. The company’s products can be found on the majority of commercial truck brands on the road today. This is the second consecutive year that Freudenberg-NOK has been recognized for the innovation and technology it contributes to Meritor’s success. Meritor is a leading global supplier of drivetrain, mobility, braking and aftermarket solutions for commercial vehicle and industrial markets. Freudenberg-NOK is the only seal company Meritor named as one of its top suppliers in 2015.

“We are honored to receive Rear Axle Supplier of the Year recognition from Meritor, one of our largest general industry customers,” said Tim Guzman, senior sales director for Freudenberg-NOK’s Power Sector. “This award represents our steadfast dedication to technology, innovation, quality and customer service to ensure we are meeting all of Meritor’s business needs. This is truly a collaborative relationship.”

Meritor executives noted during the award presentation that Freudenberg-NOK consistently met demanding record volumes and competitiveness targets during 2015 while maintaining the performance and quality levels of the seals it is supplying. In addition, the company’s Northfield, New Hampshire, competence center switched from compression molding to state-of-the-art injection molding in the manufacturing of the company’s pinion seals, a move that improved quality, increased component volumes and reduced engineered waste at the facility.

In total, Meritor recognized 18 companies at its awards ceremony. Jon Rose, vice president, procurement for Meritor, said, “Each of the 18 companies we honored with the North America Supplier Partner Award has demonstrated a commitment to quality and excellence. Their performance contributes to our strategic goal of meeting and exceeding the expectations of our customers and strengthens our mutual businesses.”
