Freightliner’s Patterson to Speak at HDMA Breakfast and Briefing during MATS

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC – Chris Patterson, president and CEO of Freightliner LLC, will be the keynote speaker at the Annual Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association (HDMA) Breakfast & Briefing at 7 a.m. on Friday, March 23, at the Mid-America Trucking Show (MATS) at the Kentucky Fair & Expo Center, Louisville, KY.

“We are pleased to have Chris as our guest speaker, and look forward to his valuable insights into the ways that suppliers and customers can work together to create a stronger and more profitable industry,” said Dennis Kline, vice president, worldwide truck sales and marketing, ArvinMeritor Commercial Vehicle Systems and 2007 HDMA Chairman. “From his 25 years of heavy duty experience, Chris will share his views on the state of the industry and the major challenges and trends he sees for the future.”

Patterson was appointed president and CEO of Freightliner in April 2005, and prior to that, he served as the company’s senior vice president, service and parts. He also served as president, Freightliner of Canada, Ltd. and senior vice president, sales and marketing, from 1992 to 1997. Patterson holds a B.A. degree in economics and a M.B.A. from the University of Western Ontario, in London, Ontario, Canada.

In anticipation of record attendance, the HDMA Breakfast & Briefing is at a new time in a new location: rooms C201-205, Mezzanine Level of South Wing C, Expo Center. Doors will open for the breakfast buffet at 7 a.m. The program will begin promptly at 8 a.m. and will end by 9:30 a.m. to allow exhibitor personnel to be in their booths by show opening time.

Tables of eight at the annual HDMA event will feature corporate logos and can be reserved for $525. Individual tickets can be purchased for $34.95. A variety of sponsorship opportunities are also available.
