FleetPride Acquires Panhandle Truck Parts

Panhandle Truck Parts has been in business since 1988.

THE WOODLANDS, Texas – FleetPride, one of the nation’s largest independent aftermarket distributors of heavy-duty truck and trailer parts, has acquired the assets of Panhandle Truck Parts LTD, with locations in Amarillo and Lubbock, Texas. With this addition, FleetPride now has 16 locations throughout Texas.

Panhandle Truck Parts has been in business since 1988. In 2002, the business was purchased by Sid Harris, Debbie Shields and Lance Stark. Harris will now serve as branch manager, while Stark steps into the role of operations manager for Amarillo and Lubbock.

"Panhandle Truck Parts has been a respected heavy-duty distributor for many years,” said Lee Stockseth, vice president, operations and central region. “They have an outstanding reputation in the heavy-duty parts industry and a loyal customer following in Amarillo, Lubbock and the Texas Panhandle areas. The Panhandle Truck Parts team brings a total of 120 years combined experience in the aftermarket heavy-duty parts business, making them an invaluable addition to our team."

Mike Paxton, vice president, business development and strategic planning, added that the acquisition of Panhandle Truck Parts furthers FleetPride’s strategic plan to expand into well-defined markets with strong local economies. “Both Potter County and Lubbock County, Texas, have thriving agricultural and oilfield industries, making them attractive markets for heavy-duty fleet owners,” said Paxton. “Through this acquisition, we will strengthen our presence in Lubbock, establish our first location in Amarillo, and expand our national footprint. Going forward we will be better positioned to meet the needs of our customers in the Texas Panhandle.”
