Fleet Advantage COO/CTO Selected As Finalist For South Florida Business Journal’s 2018 Technology Awards

James Griffin has been selected as a finalist for the South Florida Business Journal’s 2018 Technology Awards, honoring CIOs who lead their organizations in delivering business value and innovative use of IT.

Fleet Advantage, a provider of truck fleet business analytics, equipment financing and lifecycle cost management, announced that its Chief Operating Officer (CIO) and Chief Technology Officer (CTO), James Griffin, has been selected as a finalist for the South Florida Business Journal’s 2018 Technology Awards, honoring CIOs who lead their organizations in delivering business value and innovative use of IT. He is one of three finalists in the category of private companies with more than $50 million in revenue.

Griffin joined Fleet Advantage as CTO in 2014 and was also appointed COO in 2016. He has built a successful career providing technology leadership development and strategic planning for large-scale technology and informational architectures. Over the past two years, Griffin’s efforts have resulted in industry-leading platforms that have enhanced customer value, data security and overall company performance, according to Fleet Advantage.

Under Griffin’s leadership, Fleet Advantage introduced an award-winning software called ATLAAS, a one-stop resource that transportation executives can leverage to manage their entire fleet of trucks. ATLAAS is engineered with advanced algorithms that identify each truck’s optimum economic lifecycle – dubbed the “TIPPINGPOINT,” which is the point at which it costs more to operate an existing asset compared with replacing it with newer, more efficient equipment to determine an optimum replacement point. As a result, Fleet Advantage says it is able to provide cutting-edge technology tools to its clients, to allow them to improve productivity, be more environmentally responsible and save millions in operating costs.

“Our entire transportation industry today is operated by technology, data and business intelligence,” said Brian Holland, president and chief financial officer at Fleet Advantage. “More importantly, it is critical for transportation providers to properly analyze and interpret this data so they can make the right decisions that provide a competitive advantage. Jim’s leadership in helping to evolve these sophisticated solutions have been instrumental in positioning Fleet Advantage as pioneers in the data analytics space for transportation, and the broader economy. We congratulate Jim and our entire technology team on their recognition and achievement.”
