Firestone Industrial Products Announces Poland Plant Expansion

Project to provide increased capacity, improve delivery time, company says.

WOLSZTYN, Poland – Firestone Industrial Products Company LLC, one of the world’s leading air spring manufacturers, has announced a $2.7 million expansion project for its manufacturing facility in Wolsztyn, Poland. Construction began on May 6.

“Firestone is committed to providing quality products and outstanding customer service to our European customers,” said Piotr Bogaczyński, managing director of Firestone Industrial Products Europe. “With our close proximity to key customers and our state-of-the-art technical center in The Netherlands, we are able to respond quickly to customer requests for suspension solutions. Expansion of our Poland facility further supports our commitment to our customers.”

Firestone’s Wolsztyn facility is one of six facilities that manufacture air springs for the global market. The expansion will add 3,750 square meters to the existing building and provide increased storage capacity, which will improve delivery time, according to the company.

“The added space in the plant will allow us to store extra inventory, enabling us to ship directly to our customers,” said Pawel Gajda, plant manager. “With the improved delivery times that will result from this capability, we will be well-positioned to support both existing and new business.”
