Exide Technologies www.exide.com has announced the appointment of Brad Kalter as executive vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. In his new role, Kalter will serve on the company’s executive leadership team and report to Vic Koelsch, president and CEO of Exide Technologies.
Kalter has more than 20 years of experience as a practicing attorney, the past 12 working at Exide in its global battery manufacturing and energy storage business. He has served as Exide’s vice president, deputy general counsel and corporate secretary since 2009 and as deputy general counsel and corporate secretary since 2006. In these roles, he had global responsibilities for corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, corporate financing transactions, SEC compliance, subsidiary management, contract management and the intellectual property portfolio. He started his Exide career in 2003 as an assistant general counsel.
Prior to joining Exide, Kalter served as general counsel at Cotton States Insurance Group and began his career in private practice serving a variety of clients.

Kalter is a graduate of Emory University School of Law and a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where he earned a bachelor of arts degree in political science and communications.
