Inspired to launch eTool Developers after attending her first SEMA Show in Las Vegas in 2001, company President Luanne Brown announced her firm is now celebrating its 15th year as a premier provider of internet-based software applications. An accomplished ecommerce specialist, and a former member of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) board of directors, Brown’s Grand Rapids, Michigan, firm specializes in the development of websites, dealer portals, shopping carts, product information management systems (data on-boarding tools) and online learning platforms for the automotive aftermarket.
Over the years, Brown has plied her skills throughout the aftermarket industry, working in concert with leading manufacturers, warehouse distributors and other organizations to help improve their online presence. As one of the industry’s leading experts, she frequently presents seminars on internet marketing and ecommerce.
“My goal when I founded eTool Developers was to enable clients to market and sell their parts on the Internet, as well as support their sales channels,” said Brown. “It has far exceeded my expectations, and I am especially grateful to the industry, my extraordinary clients and exemplary team for allowing me to live my dream. Without the hard work of my team, who consistently go above and beyond, we would not be where we are today.”
In addition to her service on the SEMA Board, Brown previously chaired the SEMA Businesswomen’s Network, which honored her with the 2007 Athena Award. Brown also is the former chair of the SEMA Cares Committee, which engages in charitable fundraising initiatives, and she currently sits on the board of the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation. Brown was the 2015 recipient of the Women’s Automotive Association International Spirit of Leadership Award.
