EnerSys Named An Approved Vendor By The VIPAR Heavy Duty Distribution Group

“As an approved vendor, we not only increase distribution of ODYSSEY batteries through the hundreds of VIPAR locations, but also provide VIPAR customers with a superior product line," said Tom Rafferty, national account manager at EnerSys. "It's a privilege to be part of the VIPAR Heavy Duty family.”

EnerSys, manufacturer of ODYSSEY batteries, was recently appointed as an Approved Vendor by the VIPAR Heavy Duty program distribution group. VIPAR Heavy Duty serves customers’ transportation-related needs with expert advice and high-quality parts, now including ODYSSEY batteries, through its extensive network of locations.

According to EnerSys, ODYSSEY batteries, manufactured with proprietary Thin Plate Pure Lead (TPPL) technology, provide extreme power, performance and massive deep cycling capability, allowing for the reserve power needed to run on-board accessories with the engine off while not affecting battery life. The TPPL technology is applied to the manufacturing of flat plates made of 99.99 percent pure lead, not lead alloy. The plates are made thinner, enabling more to fit in the battery for increased surface area leading to slower discharge, less corrosion and faster recharging, the company says.

“ODYSSEY batteries are an ideal solution for heavy-duty fleet applications,” said Tom Rafferty, national account manager at EnerSys. “As an approved vendor, we not only increase distribution of ODYSSEY batteries through the hundreds of VIPAR locations, but also provide VIPAR customers with a superior product line. It’s a privilege to be part of the VIPAR Heavy Duty family.”
