Durakon Industries Announces New Hires and Promotions

Durakon Industries, a manufacturer of vehicle protection and cargo management systems for the light truck market, has announced three promotions and hires within the company.

LAPEER, MI — Durakon Industries, a manufacturer of vehicle protection and cargo management systems for the light truck market, has announced three promotions and hires within the company.

Tom DaBrowa has been promoted to vice president of OEM sales, and will report to Ed Gniewek, president and chief executive officer. Since August of 2000, he has served as Durakon’s director of OEM sales for General Motors.

Ed Stawicki has been hired as OEM sales director, reporting to Tom Dabrowa. Stawicki brings a wealth of OEM experience with him in sales, engineering and management. He has held various sales and technical positions with Ford, Textron, Intertec and most recently Collins & Aikman.

Ed Gniewek, president and CEO, commented, “The vast experience and determination of both Dabrowa and Stawicki will be a valuable asset in assisting Durakon to achieve aggressive and exciting OEM sales objectives for 2008 and beyond.”

In addition, Rusty Strunk has been promoted to plant superintendent for Durakon’s multimillion-dollar state-of-the-art plastics manufacturing plant in Clinton, TN. The Clinton plant is the manufacturing facility for Duracover tonneau covers, Duraliner and Allstar bedliners, and various original equipment bedliners, van panels and rail caps.
