Donaldson and Volant Partner to Develop Replacement Filters Cars and Light Trucks

MINNEAPOLIS, MN – Donaldson Co., a manufacturer of filtration systems and parts, has partnered with Volant Cool Air Intakes Inc. to develop replacement filters for the light duty pick-up and automobile marketplace. Volant will develop filters for all its current Cool Air Intakes, as well as filters to fit all of its competitor’s aftermarket air intake systems using Donaldson’s patented PowerCore filtration technology.

Donaldson’s PowerCore filtration technology includes a compact, high-performance air filtration solution using high-density filtration to reduce system restriction, extend the filter life and reduce overall maintenance costs. The straight-through fluted design of PowerCore combined with Ultra-Web nanofiber technology is five times more efficient than average conventional pleated filters, according to the company.

The "Volant PowerCore" filter will be backed with the PowerCore no-maintenance, 100,000 mile warranty. The new filter will be available through all major retailers, wholesale distributors and mail order/internet dealers.
