Dana Receives Masters Of Quality Award From Daimler Trucks North America

Dana's manufacturing facility in Lima, Ohio, was recognized for its commitment to quality, delivery, technology and cost performance.

Dana - LogoDana Holding Corp. has earned a Masters of Quality Award from Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA), the highest honor for suppliers to the commercial vehicle manufacturer.

Dana’s manufacturing facility in Lima, Ohio, was recognized for its commitment to quality, delivery, technology and cost performance. The largest heavy-duty truck manufacturer in North America, DTNA manufactures, sells and services several well-known commercial-vehicle brands, including Freightliner and Western Star, as well as Thomas Built Buses. DTNA also is a leading producer of medium-duty trucks and specialized commercial vehicles across the continent.

“We understand the importance of manufacturing and supplying top-quality components in order to move the industry forward,” said Mark Wallace, executive vice president of Dana and group president of Dana On-Highway Driveline Technologies. “This recognition and confidence from Daimler Trucks is a testament to our evolving relationship with a manufacturer we’ve been working with for more than 15 years. Together, we will carry on our shared commitment to delivering safe, high-quality, durable and serviceable vehicles.”

Now in its 28th year, the Masters of Quality Award is presented to an elite group of suppliers who meet rigorous standards and also show a commitment for continual improvement. DTNA’s suppliers are evaluated semi-annually on more than 100 criteria related to quality, service, aftermarket parts availability, engineering, warranty and purchasing; only those rated at the top are recognized with the award.

Dana supplies DTNA with a complete range of Spicer drive axles, steer axles, driveshafts and central tire inflation systems, all backed by Dana’s standard and extended warranty coverage.
