CVSN Announces 2016 President’s Award Recipient

The President’s Award is awarded annually to an individual who has demonstrated dedication, leadership and achievement over the span of their career in the independent heavy-duty aftermarket.

CVSN - LogoThe board of directors of CVSN is proud to announce that Dave Scheer, CEO of Inland Truck Parts, has been chosen as the 2016 CVSN President’s Award recipient. The President’s Award is awarded annually to an individual who has demonstrated dedication, leadership and achievement over the span of their career in the independent heavy-duty aftermarket.

Scheer began working for Inland Truck Parts Co. in 1973 as a warehouse person packing and shipping orders. In the years that followed, he held positions as delivery driver, inside salesperson, outside salesperson, branch operations manager, regional manager, corporate vice president and was appointed president and CEO in 1995.

Scheer is a member of the CVSN Right to Repair coalition team that negotiated the commercial vehicle MOU with the OE truck manufacturers. He was Truck Parts and Services’ first Distributor of the Year and also co-chairman of the inaugural Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW). He also served for many years on the CVSN Board of Directors.

Scheer joins a very distinguished list of past winners that is a “who’s who” of the industry, including:

The award will be presented to Scheer at the CVSN Aftermarket Distribution Summit taking place Sept. 10-14 at the Sutton Place Hotel in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
