CSK Auto Standardizes on PowerCenter 8 Advanced Edition and PowerExchange for Enterprise Data Integration

REDWOOD CITY, CA — Informatica Corp., a provider of data integration software, has announced that CSK Auto Corp. has selected the Informatica PowerCenter 8 Advanced Edition platform and PowerExchange to standardize data integration throughout the company and improve operational efficiency around its store operations, merchandise and supply chain systems.

The company will use Informatica technology to speed implementation of its enterprise data integration processes and plans to improve data quality and accuracy by using Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), an automated tool and Informatica Data Cleansing & Matching (DC&M). CSK Auto will use the PowerExchange Change Data Capture feature to enable incremental data feeds from current IBM data sources into its data warehouse in order to deliver information as it changes in real-time.

CSK Auto’s decision to choose Informatica over other vendors was based on Informatica’s platform-neutral solution, which ensures that the company is not limited to running any specific application platform or database, today or in the future. Other factors in the decision were Informatica’s reputation for excellent customer service, company standing and

availability of downloadable templates and documented best practices as prescribed by Informatica’s Velocity methodology.
