CRP Industries Cited As Fit-Friendly By American Heart Association

CRP-wellnessCRANBURY, N.J. ­– CRP Industries Inc. has been recognized as a “Fit-Friendly Worksite” by the American Heart Association (AHA). In addition to the award, the company also was presented with platinum status honors for meeting specific criterion for employee health and wellness. According to the AHA, worksites that offer a minimum of six physical activities, two nutrition activities and one cultural activity and also demonstrate a behavior of cost savings outcome or positive return on investment are eligible for the platinum status designation.

CRP Industries works with Wellness Solutions, a professional wellness group that creates and manages customized, high-impact corporate wellness programs for businesses and organizations, to provide its employees with personal trainers, yoga, aerobics and Zumba classes as well as a wide variety of health services, including flu shots and health screenings. Additionally, CRP Industries offers its employees an opportunity to participate in the “Weight Watchers at Work” program and contributes 50 percent of the cost. The CRP Industries’ facility includes an on-site gym equipped with aerobic and exercise equipment.

As a Fit-Friendly worksite, CRP Industries is featured on the AHA’s website and will be recognized at upcoming events and community functions. The company also has the right to use the Fit-Friendly program’s recognition seal for internal communications with employees as well as external communications related to employee recruitment. CRP Industries was presented with an official plaque and letter of recognition from the AHA.
