CRC Industries Announces Winner of ‘Get Rollin’ to Vegas’ Video Contest

Florida resident Mike Guido and his wife of 23 years, Rhonnie, collaborated on the video that earned them the grand prize: $2,500 and a trip for two to Vegas to attend the automotive industry's premier events: the AAPEX and SEMA Shows. Guido says AAPEX and SEMA are "the Holy Grail to a car guy like me."

WARMINSTER, Pa. — CRC Industries, a chemical specialties manufacturer for maintenance and repair professionals and do-it-yourselfers in the automotive, marine, heavy trucking, electrical, industrial and hardware markets, closed its three-month long video contest at midnight on Aug. 31. YouTube viewers voted to select the winner on the CRC contest YouTube channel.

Florida resident Mike Guido and his wife of 23 years, Rhonnie, collaborated on the video that earned them the grand prize: $2,500 and a trip for two to Vegas to attend the automotive industry’s premier events: the AAPEX and SEMA Shows.

The Guidos submitted a highly humorous video featuring CRC Ultra Screwloose Super Penetrant. In the video, after Mike makes multiple unsuccessful attempts at removing an upper ball joint nut on his classic Mini Cooper, his wife gets it done quickly and easily using Screwloose.

Mike said he is a long-time fan of CRC products and uses CRC Brakleen Brake Parts Cleaner for all of his street and race car brake assemblies. "I also use Brakleen as the final cleaner for all of my parts that I either paint or powdercoat," said Guido. "I’ve tried different cleaners over the years, but nothing cleans like Brakleen. It has really helped ensure the quality of my builds, some of which are internationally known."

Mike owns five classic Mini Coopers and runs the world’s largest classic-only Mini club (www.classicminis.org). In the late ’80’s, he combined his professional road racing, clowning and graphic arts careers into a real-life racing cartoon character with a drug-free theme, "The World’s Fastest Clown," which became America’s No. 1 elementary school drug prevention program. Guido’s current youth campaign (www.worldsfastestclown.com) focuses on tobacco use prevention. He hopes to reach the impressionable pre-teens who he feels are largely overlooked by state and national anti-smoking campaigns.

Mike and Rhonnie Guido will be guests of CRC Industries at the company’s AAPEX booth No. 4407 on Tuesday, November 2nd. CRC will air the winning video in the booth.

CRC Industries was founded in 1958 as Corrosion Reaction Consultants with a single product. Today, the company’s products are sold throughout the U.S., Europe, South America and the Pacific Rim. CRC operates 12 facilities that produce more than 70 million cans of aerosol products a year.
