Continental Expands Offering Of New Part Numbers For The North American Automotive Aftermarket

Included in the offering of 51 new part numbers are molded hose, poly-v belts and timing belt kits.

Continental has introduced 51 new part numbers to the North American automotive aftermarket during the second quarter of 2016. Included in the new offering of part numbers are molded hose, poly-v belts and timing belt kits.

Continental - New ProductsWith the second-quarter 2016 additions, Continental now offers 87 new part numbers for 2016, and over the past few years, the company has added more than 1,822 part numbers in a concentrated effort to expand coverage to more domestic and import vehicles.

“We believe that this expanded offering of new part numbers gives warehouse distributors and professional repair technicians extensive application coverage,” said Tom Lee, Continental’s marketing manager for North American automotive aftermarket products. “Our comprehensive portfolio provides the market with import and domestic solutions for many early- and late-model vehicles. In addition, we use DataDrive, our market intelligence system, to anticipate the aftermarket’s replacement needs to be able to deliver the right parts to our customers.”

With the addition of 269 new timing belt kits announced late last year at AAPEX, Continental says this newest offering of part numbers provides extensive coverage for some of the company’s most popular products including belts, hose and tensioners. “As older vehicles accumulate miles, belt and hose replacement will increase,” said Lee. “We are committed to providing the automotive aftermarket with the right parts at the right time for both older and new model vehicles.”
