Continental Tire the Americas (CTA) has announced that John DeSalle has been named president of the newly acquired Hoosier Racing Tire Corp., reporting directly to Dr. Jochen Etzel, CEO of Continental Tire the Americas and Hoosier Racing Tire Corp.

continental-john-desalleDeSalle began his career with Hoosier in 1989, developing radial race tire technology. Over the years, he took on more responsibilities, including managing all of Hoosier’s tire engineering, test labs and plant scheduling. In 2010, DeSalle was promoted to vice president of engineering and manufacturing and will continue in this role in addition to his new responsibilities as president of Hoosier.

I am confident John will lead the Hoosier racing tire business to further success and I look forward to working with John and the Hoosier team.”

Based in Lakeville, Indiana, Hoosier supplies tires for most racing applications throughout the world, with an emphasis on high performance and quality. The company was acquired by Continental earlier this month.
