Constellation Software announced that its Vela Operating Group through its Friedman division has acquired ASA Automotive Systems LLC.
 
ASA currently manages the sale more than $3 billion in tire and services revenue per annum in the U.S. and Canada. As a result of the acquisition, the ASA business will operate as an independent division of Friedman and will continue to develop, enhance and market software solutions to provide a competitive edge to its customers.
 
Ken Halle, president of ASA Automotive Systems, said he is pleased to join Constellation, and that he does not plan to change the mission of ASA Automotive Systems with the acquisition.
