Congressman Burgess To Receive Industry Champion Award At MEMA’s Legislative Summit

The award was created by MEMA to recognize and honor public officials who demonstrate extraordinary leadership on behalf of U.S. automotive and heavy-duty suppliers.

The Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA) has announced that Congressman Michael Burgess (R-Texas) is the recipient of this year’s Joseph M. Magliochetti Industry Champion Award. Created to recognize and honor public officials who demonstrate extraordinary leadership on behalf of U.S. automotive and heavy-duty suppliers, this award carries great significance within the industry.

MEMA Legislative Summit - GraphicCongressman Burgess has a longstanding record of leadership on critical legislation that benefits the industry, including supporting long-term surface transportation funding, improving vehicle safety, promoting regulatory accountability, providing tax relief to small businesses and protecting longstanding workplace election rules. MEMA will present Congressman Burgess with the award on May 18 at the MEMA Legislative Summit and the Congressman will address Summit attendees during that time.
