LAKE FOREST, Ill. UCI-FRAM Group has announced the appointment of J. Brett McBrayer as president of its Airtex fuel delivery business and its ASC cooling systems business.
McBrayer has more than 20 years of business and manufacturing experience, both in the U.S. and internationally. He comes to UCI-FRAM Group from Rio Tinto Alcan, where he was vice president and general manager of the Alcan Cable business. Prior to joining Rio Tinto Alcan, he was vice president and general manager of the special metals division of Precision Castparts Corp., and before that spent 20 years in roles of increasing responsibility with Alcoa Inc.
At Airtex, McBrayer succeeds Dee Monge, who previously announced his retirement as of the end of 2012, after leading the business for more than 20 years. At ASC, Tom Blackerby will be leaving the company to pursue other interests.
