Collectors Car Garage Selects CTEK As Preferred Battery Charger

Collectors’ Car Garage (CCG) members will be able to purchase the newest member of the CTEK family, the CTEK MXS 5.0, from the CCG member store, located on its premises.

Collectors’ Car Garage (CCG) – a company that provides climate-controlled storage facilities for the preservation and storage of vintage and collectible vehicles – has selected CTEK as its official supplier of chargers. Located in Bedford Hills, New York, and Chicago, the two purpose-built facilities can accommodate up to 700 cars, with a total 135,000 square feet of floor space. The climate-controlled, dust-free environments utilize digital camera surveillance, plus 24-hour life-safety systems and fire protection.

“We strive to provide our members with the ultimate in protection for their automotive treasures,” said CCG founder James Machinist. “Everything we provide is the very best available, and that’s why we are excited to have CTEK as our preferred battery charger. Members are required to provide a trickle charger for their car while it is in storage at each CCG location, and electrical outlets are provided.”

CCG members will be able to purchase the newest member of the CTEK family, the CTEK MXS 5.0, from the CCG member store, located on premises. The CTEK MXS 5.0 has an automatic temperature sensor to ensure the duration and rate of charge is exactly the amount needed. The microprocessor-controlled CTEK MXS 5.0 (part No. 40-206) is the first in a new generation of smart chargers that is able to sense the ambient battery condition throughout the charging cycle, avoiding overcharging that can damage cells and shorten battery life.

“Collectors’ Car Garage sets extremely high standards for care of the cars in its facilities,” said Bobbie DuMelle, executive vice president of CTEK North America. “We are honored that they place their trust in CTEK chargers to keep the batteries in these beautiful cars in top condition.”

The expert CCG staff is trained to handle any of their members’ car’s needs, including in-house washing and detailing, service work coordination and even restoration management. CCG member benefits also include monthly breakfasts, drives and social events, providing a true enthusiast experience.
