Cloyes Seeks Continued Growth With Executive Appointments

Tim Murphy has returned to the company as vice president of sales, and Brian Wheeler joins Cloyes as director of business development.

With a focus on product expansion, increased market share and customer support, Cloyes Gear & Products Inc. has announced the addition of two executives to its management team.

Tim Murphy has been named as vice president of sales. After five years as account executive with Schaeffler Group USA, Murphy returns to Cloyes where he previously spent more than 29 years in sales and marketing roles. As vice president of sales, Murphy is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans that promote sales growth and customer satisfaction for the organization.

Brian Wheeler joins Cloyes as director of business development. In this role, Wheeler identifies and develops new business opportunities while expanding the presence of the company and its brands through marketing and communications. Most recently, Wheeler served as marketing and communications manager for a leading building products manufacturer. Prior to that, he was director of global marketing and communications for Dayco Products LLC. He has served in several industry associations, including the Automotive Communications Council, the Automotive Press Association, the Auto Care Association Marketing and Communications Committee and the Young Auto Care Network Group.

“Tim and Brian both are passionate, proven aftermarket professionals who bring a wealth of sales, marketing and business development experience to the Cloyes team,” said John Bohenick, CEO of Cloyes. “We will leverage their experiences in the industry and their respective disciplines to further strengthen customer relationships, drive growth and increase overall awareness of the Cloyes brand.”

“We are very pleased to have Brian Wheeler join Cloyes and for Tim Murphy to return to the organization,” said Mick Jordan, president of Cloyes. “Brian’s broad experience in marketing and communications will be very beneficial for Cloyes as we work to develop our brand in related products and new markets. Tim’s return means we can hit the ground running with our new sales growth initiatives. Both Brian and Tim will be tremendous assets to our organization.”
