For the third consecutive year, Chicago Pneumatic has provided pneumatic wrenches and air compressors for the tire and wheel skills competition station at the 2009 Technology & Maintenance Council’s National Technician Skills Competition TMC SuperTech.
TMC SuperTech, an annual event held in conjunction with TMC’s Fall Meeting, was held Sept. 14-17 in Raleigh, N.C. Contestants used Chicago Pneumatic’s CP7778-6 one-inch impact wrenches and the CP7600 non-impact wrench powered by Chicago Pneumatic’s QRS 15 air compressors to complete their tasks in the tire and wheel skills competition station. Christopher Tate, the winner of the tire and wheel, wheel end and written skills stations, and ultimate overall event champion, took home a $1,000 gift certificate from Chicago Pneumatic.
“Participating in TMC SuperTech for the third straight year was a great experience,” said CP National Sales Manager Chip Todd, who served as a competition judge along with CP colleague Brian Dove.
“It’s always an honor to be a judge; and, it’s a privilege to have the opportunity to interact with so many of the nation’s top commercial vehicle technicians,” Todd said.
