Certified Automotive Parts Association Welcomes Stacy Bartnik As Aftermarket Industry Relations Manager

In her new position, Bartnik will oversee CAPA relations within the aftermarket auto parts industry, including representing CAPA at industry functions, events and conferences.

The Certified Automotive Parts Association (CAPA), an independent, nonprofit standard-setting and certification organization for automotive crash parts, announced that Stacy Bartnik has been appointed aftermarket industry relations manager for its testing and certification program.

Bartnik brings more than 20 years of experience in the industry, including program and business development, operational improvements and association leadership.

CAPA standards have been used worldwide to identify high-quality aftermarket auto parts based on their design, materials, construction and comparability to car company brand parts, according to CAPA. As aftermarket industry relations manager, Bartnik will oversee CAPA relations within the aftermarket auto parts industry, including representing CAPA at industry functions, events and conferences; working with customers and technical staff to ensure services that meet industry needs; and coordinating efforts with customers, industry experts and internal colleagues.

“Stacy’s extensive knowledge of the collision repair industry, coupled with her experience in business and relationship development, is a perfect complement to CAPA and our mission to ensure access to high-quality, fairly priced alternative auto parts,” said Kerry Tapio, operations manager for the CAPA program. “We are pleased to welcome her to CAPA and look forward to working with her to continue to grow our testing and certification program.”

Bartnik’s experience includes executive leadership roles with Team PRP, CARSTAR and Gerber Collision & Glass; a management position with ITW Evercoat; and consultant work within the industry. She is the immediate past chair of the Collision Repair Education Foundation and has served as the president of the National Auto Body Council and chair of the Collision Industry Conference. She served as a member of the Automotive Service Association Collision Division, was named an AkzoNobel Most Influential Woman (2004) and was inducted into the Collision Industry Hall of Eagles in 2010.
