CAWA Encourages Arizona Attorney General To Educate The Public Regarding Their Vehicle Warranty Rights

The Attorney General's Office recently amended its website to include information on the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act.

After CAWA Legislative Advocate, Stuart Goodman, met with the Arizona Attorney General’s Office to discuss the importance of alerting the consumer of their rights under the Magnusson-Moss Warranty Act (MMWA), the Office amended its website to include information on the MMWA. See this link to view the information: azag.gov/consumer/cars.

“This action on the part of Arizona’s Attorney General is in the consuming public’s interests and sends the message that they have the right to choose where they have their vehicle serviced and repaired even while it’s on the manufacturers’ warranty,” said Rodney Pierini, CAWA president and CEO.

Do you know your consumers rights under MMWA? Contact Jennifer Zins, CAWA director of government affairs, to be informed because it could mean more parts sold and services performed in the aftermarket when the vehicle is still under the manufacturers’ warranty.
