Stan Gowisnock, newly appointed CARDONE president and CEO, recently shared his insights on the changing auto care industry from his perspective as a veteran executive in the supply chain solutions industry, to a record attendance of 360 at the 43rd Automotive Content Professionals Network (ACPN) Knowledge Exchange Conference in New Orleans.
Gowisnock traced the journey of automotive catalogs from paper and face-to-face sales to current robust online content, and shared how he has learned over his career that content is key to selling parts and keeping them sold.
“Content is a value-add, not a cost center,” said Gowisnock. “Good content assists in the selling and retention of that sale.”
Attendees also participated in technical training breakout sessions – ACPN University – covering ACES and PIES, efficiency building and sending and receiving quality content data. First-time attendees were oriented prior to the conference start at a “bootcamp” session that acclimated them to the conference and ACPN. Eileen Terry, professional development coach, ET Consulting, presented “The Art of Being ‘Fully Present’” on how to create deeper and more high-quality interactions with those who matter most.
The 43rd Automotive Content Professionals Network Knowledge Exchange Conference will continue until Wednesday, May 18. For more information, click here.
