NetCom, a Canada-based electronic catalog provider for the automotive aftermarket, is introducing NetCom POS, a Point-of-Sale solution designed to maximize productivity at the parts counter and also equip stores to receive online orders from its network of installers, with the aim of improving online retail sales figures. According to NetCom, the new system can boost a part store’s sales force, expanding an automotive retail business to an omni-channel business within a matter of days.
“Even though NETCOM.PARTS is being used daily by hundreds of professionals, most retailers need more than a freeware to run their business. Our NetCom POS is the most affordable way for any retailer to start selling parts online,” said Pascal Richard, CEO and president of Partsmotive Inc., parent company of NetCom.
NetCom POS is a scalable solution that covers several needs, the company says. Thanks to its advanced functions, the counter version is used by counter professionals as their primary searching tool, saving time by avoiding browsing multiple manufacturer websites every day.
As for the business version, it spreads the same search functions to business clientele (the installers), according to NetCom, and gives them the added possibility to process online orders at any time, which can, in turn, free up the shop’s phone lines.
The retail version aims to significantly increase online sales by putting in place a web store that is perfectly integrated into the reality of auto parts e-commerce, NetCom says.
