BPI-Haimeng Brake Manufacturing Plant Celebrates 20th Anniversary

The company hosted a ceremony for employees to commemorate the occasion, titled “Create a Great Cause with Ambition, Share the Same Destiny for a Brilliant Future.”

Brake Parts Inc (BPI) has announced that its BPI-Haimeng brake components manufacturing facility in Longkou, Shandong, China, recently celebrated its 20th anniversary. The company hosted a ceremony for employees to commemorate the occasion, titled, “Create a Great Cause with Ambition, Share the Same Destiny for a Brilliant Future.”

“Our 20th anniversary ceremony was not only a chance to celebrate the success that we’ve achieved at the BPI-Haimeng facility over the past two decades, but also an opportunity to inspire everyone to strive for even greater accomplishments going forward,” said David Overbeeke, president and CEO of Brake Parts Inc. “We are very proud of the fact that our BPI-Haimeng facility produces millions of rotors and drums each year and continues to maintain an exceptionally low warranty rate. We are steadily increasing the production of coated rotors to meet the market demand, which is growing by double-digits.”

The BPI-Haimeng plant is one of 10 strategically located facilities operated by BPI to supply customers around the globe with world-class brake system components. The company has recently invested more than $20 million into the TS 19649 and ISO 140001 certified plant to meet growing rotor and drum demand, adding new foundry capacity, CNC machine upgrades and additional automated coating and paint lines.

BPI-Haimeng employs more than 2,400 people from the local area. The anniversary festivities celebrated the employees’ ingenuity and included performances by employees and special recognition of several team members.
