The 2016 Big R/ReMaTecUSA Show, the largest remanufacturing event in North America, was held Oct. 29-30 in Las Vegas, in conjunction with Automotive Aftermarket Industry Week. Show organizers report that the event attracted 1,530 attendees from 47 countries, creating significant networking and business development opportunities for attendees.
The show featured 74 exhibiting companies occupying 107 trade booths, displaying the latest products and services for the remanufacturing industry. The show was co-located with the Automatic Transmission Rebuilders Association, which increased the energy of the event.
The show featured 14 educational sessions, many of which will be available to members on the APRA website. The education sessions were headlined by keynote presenter Bogi Lateiner of Velocity Channel’s “All Girl Garage,” as she presented “Remanufacturing Your Brand: How to Maximize Sales & Profits by Overcoming Negative Perceptions.” The annual awards breakfast featured Mike Rayne of FTI Consulting, who presented “Remanufacturing Industry Disruption: The Trends and Opportunities.”
“A key value that APRA provides is networking,” said Scott Parker, APRA association manager. “This year’s event provided great opportunities and we are looking forward to building on this momentum for the 2017 event.”
