Bar’s Leaks And Rislone Continue Monster Truck Sponsorships For 9th Year

The stop-leak brand says its monster truck sponsorship is a fun, positive way to educate consumers about chemical repair solutions.

Bar’s Leaks and Rislone, leaders in stop-leak and engine protection products, are sponsoring two monster trucks – the Bar’s Leaks Eliminator and the Rislone Defender – for the ninth straight season in 2016. The company says these monster truck sponsorships are a fun, positive way to grow awareness – and retail sales – among current and future car show and motorsports enthusiasts.

The Bar’s Leaks Eliminator and the Rislone Defender are operated by the father and son team of Greg and Zach Adams. Zach will drive the Rislone Defender in more than 50 competition races this year, and both Adams are scheduled to display the Rislone Defender and Bar’s Leaks Eliminator monster trucks at nearly 40 car shows and related events in 2016. “Our association with our principal sponsors Bar’s Leaks and Rislone has been like a family relationship,” said Greg Adams. “We work together as a team, but we’re more than just goodwill ambassadors of the brands. We actually use their products, and we enjoy telling people all over the country how well they work. In fact, we’ve recommended both brands to other monster truck teams, and they’ve told us with delight how much money the chemical products have saved them.”

Monster truck shows are extremely popular and can attract crowds of more than 70,000 people. Car shows and related events are very popular too, attracting thousands of automotive buffs. The Bar’s Leaks Eliminator and the Rislone Defender have made an average of more than 70 appearances at such events each year for the past eight years. That adds up to premium brand exposure to motor vehicle enthusiasts of all ages, the company says.

“Consumers interested in car shows and motorsports are much more likely to work on their own vehicles and have a need for our maintenance and repair products,” said Clay Parks, vice president of strategic development. “Our monster truck sponsorships are part brand awareness and part product education. We want younger generations to come to know and rely on Bar’s Leaks and Rislone, as well as reinforce the brands to those who know us so well. Our sponsorships accomplish this in an enjoyable way that’s not ‘in your face’ marketing. We have seen this positive reflection on the company translate into increased consumer purchases of our products.”
