Automotive and commercial vehicle experts from IHS Markit will share an overview of key industry trends impacting the global automotive aftermarket, commercial vehicle market and the expected role new technology will play in impacting the aftermarket during the annual AAPEX trade show taking place Oct. 30 through Nov. 1 in Las Vegas.

Leaders from the aftermarket, commercial vehicle and technology teams at IHS Markit will take part in the convention program this year.

Jeremy Carlson, principal automotive analyst and manager, autonomous driving and new mobility, will focus on how technology is changing the way we move about the world, and how automated and connected driving technology will create numerous opportunities to rethink personal mobility. He also will cover consumer adoption, regulation and technology readiness and availability, and how it will influence the transformation of transportation. Advanced Driver Assist Systems, automated driving, autonomous technology and connected and shared mobility also will be covered.

Automotive Industry Outlook: Navigating the Waters of Investment, Trade and Execution

Mike Wall, executive, automotive analysis, will provide a high-level review of global economic and light vehicle sales and production trends. The presentation also will provide a deeper dive look at North America vehicle sales and production, the status and impact of ongoing NAFTA trade negotiations and an assessment of trade developments with other regions. Finally, a discussion around possible scenarios regarding vehicle sales will be provided.

AAPEX ADAS Forum – Servicing ADAS-Enabled Vehicles

Todd Campau, research and analysis associate director at IHS Markit, will participate in a panel discussion on the opportunities and risks of maintaining vehicles equipped with today’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS).
