Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation Appoints New Board Trustee

Damien Harmon, vice president of operations for Bridgestone Retail Operations, will join the AACF board of trustees.

DamienHarmonBob Hirsch, president of the Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF), announced that Damien Harmon, vice president of operations for Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO), will join the AACF board of trustees.

Harmon joined Bridgestone in 2014. He is responsible for strategic leadership of store operations and all general operations of the business, including service capability, customer retention, information technology and education. Prior to BSRO, Harmon was vice president of category and merchandising operations at Best Buy.

“Bridgestone has been a longtime supporter of the foundation and to have someone of Damien’s stature representing them on the board will continue the ties we’ve always had to this compassionate company,” said Hirsch.

When asked why he accepted this position, Harmon said, “I’ve seen what tragedy does to a family and while financial support doesn’t take back what may have happened it can assist the family in their time of greatest need. I feel it is our responsibility as good neighbors to ensure that our neighborhoods are taken care of.  While we may all have our own way of seeing this through, I have found a way through this opportunity to support my neighbors in the automotive aftermarket.”
