The Automotive Aftermarket Charitable Foundation (AACF) has announced the appointment of Tyler Reeves, president of Interstate Batteries’ National Accounts, to its board of trustees.
“Tyler is perfect for this position,” said Bob Hirsch, AACF president. “Reeves’ background includes finding time to support both his employees and his community. His business ethics include team member development and giving back in meaningful ways. He volunteers at Becky’s Hope Horse Rescue and serves as a deacon at his church.”
Reeves has a solid history in achievements in business beginning with a degree in accounting and marketing from Texas A&M University and a Master in Business Administration from SMU Cox School of Business. Upon being asked to serve on the AACF board, he said, “As a board member, I will be using my strengths and compassion to further the AACF goal of growing the charity foundation.”
Founded in 1959 to assist members of the automotive aftermarket and their families, the AACF has distributed millions of dollars to help in times of great need. “Terrible accidents or catastrophic illness can occur suddenly, and drastically alter the life of a family”, said Joel Ayres, executive director of the AACF. “We are ready to step in to help. We often are called in after all available resources have been exhausted. That’s when we fulfill our mission: to provide sustainable solutions for those in great need.”
