SAN ANTONIO, Texas On Dec. 8, during its annual winter meeting in Boca Raton, Fla., Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper gave a donation to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
Kenny Payne, marketing board chairman of Auto Value/Bumper to Bumper, presented Maureen Brown from Susan G. Komen for the Cure with a check for $15,000. She then gave a brief inspirational speech on the fight against breast cancer.
Proceeds were generated from company-wide sales of a 1955 Fleetwood 60 Series Cadillac Die-Cast Collector 1:24 scale replica of the legendary pink sedan made famous by Elvis Presley. For every car sold, a portion of the sales was given to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure organization. Monies raised coincided with the 25th anniversary of the National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
