Atlas Copco USA has announced it will continue its longstanding partnership with Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR). Atlas Copco has been involved with SHR since its inception and serves as a technical partner to the championship-winning NASCAR Sprint Cup Series team.
“We’re happy to continue our partnership with Atlas Copco,” said Greg Zipadelli, vice president of competition, SHR. “Their superior products provide high-quality compressed air in our shop, allowing us to complete all of our work efficiently. Atlas Copco is synonymous with reliability, so we know we won’t have unexpected downtime.”
Established by three-time Sprint Cup champion Tony Stewart and Gene Haas, founder of Haas Automation, SHR fields entries for four drivers – Stewart, Kevin Harvick, Danica Patrick and Kurt Busch. Based in Kannapolis, North Carolina, SHR operates out of a 200,000-square-foot facility with approximately 280 employees.
“Atlas Copco and Stewart-Haas Racing have shared a successful relationship for almost a decade, both as a compressed air provider and a sponsor,” said Erik Arfalk, vice president communications, Atlas Copco. “We’re thrilled to continue our relationship for the 2016 season.”
In 2014, Atlas Copco provided new compressed air equipment and installed its SMARTLINK monitoring technology into SHR’s state-of-the-art race shop expansion. SMARTLINK provides 24/7 remote monitoring of the team’s compressed air system to ensure continuous uptime and peak performance.
