ASA Collision Division Presents ASA/ASE Top Score Award at NACE

BEDFORD, TX – David Ludwig, owner of Prestige Auto Body Inc. in Manchester, NH, received the Automotive Service Association (ASA)/National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Top Score Award during the 2007 National Autobody Congress and Exposition (NACE) in Las Vegas. The award recognizes the ASA Collision Division member who received the highest score on the ASE master collision repair/refinish certification test.

Darrell Amberson, ASA’s Collision Division director, presented the award prior to the Friday, Nov. 2, general session featuring a panel discussion on “lean” practices, which was sponsored by Akzo Nobel.

In his 20s, Ludwig was looking for an occupation and started working part-time in the collision repair industry. In 1986, he opened Prestige Auto Body. Over the past 21 years, the business successfully has grown and now has more than 20 full-time employees.

“Our recipient is active in his community,” said Amberson. “He is a member of the Better Business Bureau; supports the Junior Diabetes Foundation, the Boys and Girls Clubs of America and a local youth theatre group. He is also a member of Families in Transition.”

Ludwig is ASE-certified and holds I-CAR welding and I-CAR Platinum training designations. He also is an AMI student, an ASA member and participates in a DuPont 20-Group.

“I am very pleased to be recognized by the industry I am so proud to be part of,” said Ludwig. “And I am very, very proud to receive an award of this magnitude.”
