APC Automotive Technologies Names Paul Wise As Vice President Of Corporate Marketing And Communications

In his new position, Wise will aim to help drive a cohesive brand strategy as well as an overarching corporate marketing plan in support of the company's growth objectives.

APC Automotive Technologies LLC (APC) has just named Paul Wise as its vice president, corporate marketing and communications. Hugh Charvat, CEO of APC Automotive Technologies, made the announcement, noting that Wise will be a key partner for the AP Exhaust and Centric product, sales and marketing teams, and will help drive a cohesive brand strategy as well as an overarching corporate marketing plan in support of the company’s growth objectives.

APC was formed in May 2017 by the merger of AP Emissions Technologies and Centric Parts. Wise will be based in the Denver office and will report directly to Hugh Charvat.

Wise comes to APC with an extensive background in automotive marketing and brand leadership, most notably with Schrader International (sensors and valves) and Gates Corp. (belts and hoses). He has led similar marketing, communications, and strategic planning functions while helping to drive profitable growth in both OE and aftermarket channels. Most recently Wise completed an extensive company rebranding and repositioning of GOLFTEC, a world leader in retail golf instruction.

Charvat said, “Paul comes to us with a very strong pedigree in brand management, marketing and communications. I know what Paul can deliver from firsthand experience in working with him. I’m excited to see his impact across our entire product portfolio while also propelling our unified brand presence online. He will also lead our communications function both internally and externally, including our public relations/media initiatives, which will further position our key storylines of innovation and differentiation.”

Prior to joining APC, Wise had been the senior vice president, revenue and marketing at GOLFTEC (Denver, Colorado) since 2015. Before GOLFTEC, he was director, corporate communications and business development at Schrader International from 2009-’15, where he was responsible for a global portfolio of automotive and industrial manufactured components, including sensor and valve product lines, tire pressure monitoring systems and diverse air/fluid control products. Wise also was manager of strategic planning at Tomkins plc (Industrial & Automotive Group) and product line and marketing manager and global mobility specialist with Gates Corp.

Wise holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration, Master of Science degree in management and organization and a Master in Business Administration degree in business from the University of Colorado.
