Longtime aftermarket veteran Donald Crassweller has passed away. Crassweller died Jan. 5, at the age of 83. He resided in California.
Crassweller was founder of Crassweller Media. From 1965 to 1992, he served as an independent sales representative for Babcox Media (AMN’s parent company).
“We are very sorry to learn of Don’s passing,” said Bill Babcox, president of Babcox Media Inc. “Don represented Babcox Media on the West Coast for nearly 30 years. He was a big personality, very well-known and universally liked. He seemed to know everyone in the industry – inside and outside of his territory. He was an icon, and we have a lot of wonderful memories of Don.”
In an article about Crassweller’s passing, SEMA noted that he was an active recruiter for the association. In 2005, he was presented with the SEMA Ambassador of the Year award for recruiting the most members in a single year.
No information on memorial or funeral services has been released for Crassweller. His arrangements are being handled by the Trident Society of Ranch Mirage, California.
