The Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance has announced the promotion of Kellye Settles to the newly created position of headquarters relationship manager. Settles joined the Alliance team in October of 2011 after working in Washington, D.C., at the ABC affiliate WJLA. Since that time, she has taken on additional management responsibilities throughout the organization, including the administration of human resource activities.
“Kellye has consistently demonstrated a level of competency and professionalism in every assignment she has been given,” said John R. Washbish, president and CEO of the Alliance. “With this position, she will be empowered to facilitate growth and the continual success of our entire group.”
In her new capacity, Settles will be responsible for all shareholder-facing duties, including the chief coordinator for all board of directors’ activities and communications. She is the liaison for the China Aftermarket Auto Parts Alliance and the recently created Aftermarket Distributors Alliance. Settles supports the developing opportunities through those two companies, as well as with HDA Truck Pride and various other industry organizations. In addition to those roles, she will continue to act as manager of all executive operations at Alliance headquarters, including human resource management for the personnel based out of the San Antonio office.
“It is my objective to create a positive experience for all those that I interact with and to be an advocate for the staff at Alliance headquarters, as well as our 68 shareholders throughout the United States, Canada, Mexico, China and now Central America,” said Settles.
Settles is a graduate of Baylor University in Waco, Texas, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications and a minor in Public Relations. She holds a certification in Human Resources Management from the American Management Association. She is a member of the Young Auto Care Network Group and volunteers for several organizations, including the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and American Cancer Society.
