Adient Recognized As One Of America’s Most Admired Corporations In Supplier Diversity

The company was honored for its commitment to innovative supplier development initiatives and its strong participation with minority supplier development councils.

Adient, a global provider of automotive seating, has been recognized by Minority Business USA as one of its Corporate 101: America’s Most Admired Corporations in Supplier Diversity.

The company was honored for its commitment to innovative supplier development initiatives and its strong participation with minority supplier development councils.

Adient’s mentoring programs and support for diversity from senior management also distinguished the company for this award.

“Fostering diversity is an important part of Adient’s values,” said Bruce McDonald, chairman and CEO of Adient. “Being honored as a most admired corporation in this important area means that we are living our values and realizing the tremendous benefits embracing diversity brings to our business.”

Adient operates an innovative program to recruit and develop diverse suppliers. The company is a member of the Billion Dollar Roundtable, a non-profit organization created in 2001 and made up of 27 Fortune-level corporations that each spend $1 billion or more annually on a Tier 1 basis on supplier diversity.

The Corporate 101 award emphasizes the important role corporations play in supporting supplier diversity initiatives. Each year, the MBN USA Editorial Board selects its list of corporations that fully embrace supplier diversity.

According to MBN USA, the Corporate 101 list for 2017 represents supplier diversity’s elite. Companies chosen reflect the level of commitment and support that is contributing to the continued growth and development of diverse suppliers.
