AASA Tech Conference: Using 3-D Visualization To Transform The Aftermarket

The 2015 AASA Technology Conference will offer a firsthand look at uses of augmented and virtual reality in the automotive realm.

AASA-LogoBeck Besecker of Marxent will demonstrate how 3-D visualization is transforming inventory and customer decisions on Tuesday, Sept. 22, at the 2015 Technology Conference presented by the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA).

“Conference attendees will learn how leading-edge brands are using augmented and virtual reality to display products in 3-D and increase sales, and see this rapidly emerging technology firsthand,” said Chris Gardner, AASA vice president. “As the co-founder and CEO of Marxent, Beck is among top subject matter experts in virtual reality and augmented reality solutions for sales and marketing with extensive experience building interactive marketing solutions for Fortune 500 retailers and brands.”

Beck also will discuss the opportunities for augmented reality to completely alter how vehicle maintenance and repairs are conducted in repair facilities.

The 2015 AASA Technology Conference is scheduled for Sunday, Sept. 20, through Tuesday, Sept. 22 at the Marriott Suites in Clearwater Beach, Florida. It is the only event of its kind in the industry with its exclusive focus on technology professionals in the automotive aftermarket – and this year, the Automotive Distribution Network (The Network) IT Forum will be held in conjunction with the conference.

Other general session topics at the 2015 AASA Technology Conference will include:

  • Predicting Part Performance in the Field;
  • The Connected Aftermarket;
  • Monetizing Telematics; and
  • The MEMA Technology Road Map.

The agenda also includes four tracks of breakout sessions: marketing technology, heavy-duty technology, business-to-business technology and information technology.
