AASA Overseas Automotive Council Advances The Future Of The Global Aftermarket With Scholarship

The scholarship will be available to OAC members or employees of member companies for the 2016 University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program.

AASA - OAC - LogoGlobal markets represent an increasing portion of the automotive aftermarket industry’s growth. The Overseas Automotive Council (OAC) of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA) is helping prepare the industry’s future leaders for this growth with a scholarship for the 2016 University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program.

“The aftermarket today is truly a global marketplace and AASA is committed to advancing the international business interests of the industry and our North American aftermarket supplier members,” said Bill Long, AASA president and chief operating officer. “AASA and OAC are pleased to provide Leadership 2.0 tuition for up-and-coming professionals who want to develop their leadership skills and enhance their global aftermarket careers.”

“As one of the oldest and most unique organizations in the global aftermarket, OAC strives to be the premier international community for all North American manufacturers and exporters,” said Mick Jordan, OAC chairman and vice president of marketing, Cloyes Gear & Products Inc. “This scholarship is our investment in the future leaders of the global aftermarket, and we thank Carol Perrotta, manager, operations, Intraco Corp., for her efforts in spearheading our scholarship program.”

The scholarship will be available to OAC members or employees of member companies for the 2016 University of the Aftermarket Leadership 2.0 program. The intensive, two-week executive development program provides theoretical and practical application of automotive aftermarket leadership principles.

“Leadership 2.0 is recognized by the industry as the cornerstone educational program that develops the next generation of aftermarket leaders,” said Brian Cruickshank, director of the University of the Aftermarket. “The AASA OAC scholarship will aid us in the continued growth, diversity and relevancy of this valuable program.”
